An Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce event at Edinburgh Zoo. Following a networking breakfast in the Zoo’s 18th century mansion House, members heard about the RZSS research and conservation work and were given an early morning tour of the Zoo.
Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive at Edinburgh Airport spoke with Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce members about updates on developments at Scotland’s busiest airport, as well as future plans for growth. Hosted by the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa Edinburgh.
Steve Dunlop, CEO at Scottish Enterprise spoke to Edinburgh Chamber members about improving communication between business organisations across the country and and his focus on identifying and developing Scottish talent and entrepreneurship. Hosted by The Royal Scots Club.
On Wednesday evening at the MacDonald Holyrood Hotel, Benny Higgins, Strategic Adviser to the First Minister spoke with Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce members about the establishment of the Scottish National Investment Bank.

Employers met face to face with over 1500 young people at Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange in a bid to Inform, Inspire and Hire their future workforce. Over 1,000 job vacancies are on show at the event making it the best place to find out about the opportunities available after leaving school and college. There was also the opportunity to get hints and tips on CVs and application forms through interactive workshops led by employers and tailored support from Skills Development Scotland.
The 2019 Chamber awards were contested by 69 businesses at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. Keynote speakers on the evening were Derek Mackay MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Economy and Fair Work, Kevin Mathers, Sales Director at Google UK, Economy and Fair Work, and Rebecca Moore, Senior Growth Director, Skyscanner. The evening was hosted by presenter and broadcaster David Tanner.
